Meet Kristie and Michelle, identical twins who have created a professional private personal training studio with over 24 years of combined experience in Nutrition and Personal Training. After the Twins graduated from Kansas State University with dual degrees in Nutrition and Exercise Science, they pursued personal training with an emphasis in nutritional counseling.
Kristie and Michelle followed their dreams and opened their own personal training studio “TwinFitness” in 2003. With just the two of them and 25 clients, the Twins put their heads together and came up with a plan to be the most successful private personal training studio in the Kansas City area. They accomplished this with a "customer’s always first" philosophy, creative marketing, teamwork, and a lot of dedication. The success of TwinFitness has allowed the Twins to double the size of their studio and expand their active client base to over 200 clients. Their achievements include appearances on local and national TV commercials, sports talk shows and autograph signings.
The Twins established a partnership with Professional Fitness Institute (PFI) to teach aspiring personal trainers how to be successful in the industry. This partnership led to the twins contributing to the development of a personal training manual for PFI schools nationwide. The Twins have also had several photo shoots with Kansas City Fitness, Muscle & Fitness and Flex magazines and have been recognized in Oxygen Magazine for placing top 5 in the USA national bikini competition.
Kristie and Michelle set themselves apart from other trainers by competing in over forty-five figure, fitness and bikini competitions over the past 13 years. They were recognized by a professional tanning company that hired them to travel and help at the annual Olympia and Arnold Classic shows as part of the “Jan Tana” tanning team. They continue to provide consultation to and assist in tanning the professional fitness, figure and bikini competitors. The Twins use this experience and the techniques they've learned to make their competitors' tans look flawless on stage.
The Twins have been training competitors for over nine years which has made TwinFitness the top studio to train with due to their success at EVERY show. They have brought home more than 35 first place trophies, more than 95 top 5 finishes, as well as receiving 10 PRO cards in the industry, including Beth White IFBB PRO. On average, TwinFitness places over 85% of their competitors, at every show. The board of several organizations hand picked the Twins to consult with judges to develop new criteria for the popular new Bikini Division.
